Interesting facts about Indian Constitution

26th of January 1950, the day new democracy was born. Every Indian feels proud about that India become a republic India. Every year we are celebrating republic day on 26 of January through out the India. There are certain interesting facts about Indian Constitution which we all should know



1. Indian Constitution was completely handwritten and written in both English and Hindi. The original copies are kept in special helium-filled cases in the Library of the Parliament of India

2. Handwritten Indian Constitution was signed by 284 Constituent Assembly members including 15 women's on 24th of January 1950 and it came to force on 26th of January 1950

3. There was raining outside the parliament when they are signing the Indian Constitution documents, which they were thought that it is good omen

4. The Constituent Assembly exactly took 2 years, 11 months and 17 days to finalize the precise initial draft of Indian Constitution

5. Indian Constitution often called "Bag of borrowing". Which means that varies features and parts are taken from other constitutions

6. Indian Constitution is the longest in the World, remember that it is completely handwritten

7. Indian Constitution has also been hailed as one of the best Constitution in the world because in the 66 years of its adoption, only 101 amendments were made (including GST)
